Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about joining, sessions, refunds and safety.
Joining & booking
How do I book a trial?
Press Book a Trial, choose your child’s gender and enter their date of birth. We work out the right age group and show the trial sessions available.
Who runs the club?
Regent’s Park FC is operated by Regents Park Community Sports Community Interest Company, registered in England and Wales (company number 06617315). Email admin@regentsparkfc.com for bookings, payments, kit and general questions.
How do fees and payments work?
Before you book, we explain the programme, dates, location, total fees, payment schedule and what is included. Instalments spread the cost of the booked programme; they do not turn it into a monthly subscription. We will not automatically renew a fixed-term booking.
Is kit compulsory?
Any compulsory membership or kit charge is made clear before you book. Optional extras need your agreement.
What if money is tight?
Speak to us early. We can discuss available support and payment options.
Sessions & team football
Will my child play in every match?
Match selection depends on development, safety, attendance, effort, team balance and competition rules. Booking training does not guarantee every fixture, a particular position or equal minutes. Coaches will explain how selection works for your group.
Can you guarantee academy selection or a professional pathway?
No. We cannot guarantee academy selection, a professional pathway or a particular football outcome.
What if my child misses a session?
Missing a session does not automatically move it to another week. Please let us know about absences so coaches can plan.
What should my child bring?
Suitable footwear, shin pads where required, appropriate clothing and water. Please do not bring a child whose infectious illness could put others at risk.
Who do I tell about medical needs or allergies?
Tell us about injuries, allergies, medication, disabilities or additional needs that may affect participation. We will discuss appropriate support and reasonable adjustments with you.
Cancellations & refunds
What is the first-session promise?
If your child attends the first session of their booked course and you tell us within 24 hours that they will not continue, we refund that course’s session fees in full. Separately purchased kit is dealt with under the relevant returns terms and your statutory rights.
What happens if a session is cancelled for bad weather?
Football is an outdoor sport. If unsafe weather or an unplayable pitch prevents a session, our normal policy is that the session is non-refundable, and we will let families know as soon as reasonably possible. This does not remove any refund or remedy required by law.
What if the club cancels for another reason?
We offer a suitable replacement or a proportionate refund for the session not delivered. You may choose a refund if the replacement is unsuitable. Agreed refunds are processed within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires.
Safety & welfare
When is my child my responsibility, and when ours?
Our responsibility for supervision begins when your child is handed over to the designated coach or member of staff and continues until collection or an agreed authorised departure. Please tell us about any change of collector.
What if my child is hurt?
Staff provide appropriate first aid within their competence, seek urgent help where necessary and contact the parent or emergency contact. Return after significant injury or suspected concussion follows appropriate medical advice.
Are players insured?
All our teams, including JPL teams, are registered under the London FA scheme: public liability up to £10 million per occurrence and Silver personal accident cover. The current cover period is 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027. Overseas tours, including Gothia, need separate arrangements explained before booking.
Who do I contact about a safeguarding concern?
Danielle Houliston, Club Welfare Officer: 07815 930150 or dannihouli@gmail.com. You can also contact London FA at Safeguarding@LondonFA.com. In an emergency, call 999.
How do I make a complaint?
Email Admin. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and give a substantive response within 15 working days. Urgent welfare concerns are dealt with promptly.
Photos, filming & your data
Will my child be filmed?
We use VEO and other video tools to help coaches review football and support player development. We explain this before participation, and offer a route to opt out of filming. We will not automatically exclude a child because of an objection.
Will photos of my child appear on social media?
Only with separate written parental permission for identifiable promotional images. Declining does not affect your child’s place, and you can withdraw permission at any time by contacting Admin.
How long do you keep coaching footage?
Normally no more than 12 months from recording, unless a specific reason justifies longer, such as a safeguarding matter or an insurance claim.
How is my family’s information used?
Only to run the club: registration, sessions, payments and safe participation. We do not sell personal information. See the Privacy Policy for who can access it and your rights.
